1. The basics
By creating an account or using Bechdoo, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. You must be 18 or older to use Bechdoo.
2. What Bechdoo is — and isn't
When you buy or sell an item connected through Bechdoo, that transaction — price negotiation, payment, handover, condition of the item — happens directly between you and the other user. Bechdoo does not hold funds in escrow, does not guarantee any item's condition or a seller's title to it beyond the document review described below, and is not a party to that sale.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information — a name and phone number that are actually yours, since these are what the other party in a transaction will see.
4. Rules for listing an item
- You must own the item, or have clear authority to sell it on the owner's behalf.
- The ownership document you upload must genuinely correspond to the item and, where applicable, to you as the seller — submitting someone else's document, or a document for a different item, is a violation that can result in listing rejection and account suspension.
- Listing details must be accurate — the year, condition, price, and category-specific facts (like a vehicle's ownership history) you provide are what a buyer relies on before ever unlocking your contact.
- One listing per physical item. Creating duplicate listings for the same asset, or reusing another seller's photos or documents, is not allowed.
- Your phone number and contact details must not appear in the listing title, description, or photos — that's what the QR-based unlock mechanism exists to gate; putting your number in the text bypasses it and is not allowed.
5. Fees and payments
Platform fees (QR listing plans, contact-unlock packs, Expression of Interest credits, seller view-credits, listing bumps, and renewals) are charged in Indian Rupees and processed through Razorpay. Fees are generally non-refundable once the corresponding service has been delivered — for example, once a QR code has been generated and shipped, or once a contact has been unlocked. If a listing is rejected during document review before any QR code ships, contact support for a refund of that specific plan fee.
Every payment gets a downloadable invoice from your billing page.
6. Buyer conduct
Expressing interest or unlocking a contact doesn't obligate the seller to sell to you, respond, or hold the item for you. Use unlock credits and Expression of Interest credits for genuine interest — repeated unlocking without follow-through, at a pattern suggesting abuse, may result in restricted access to these features.
7. Prohibited items and conduct
- Stolen goods, or any item you don't have clear authority to sell.
- Items illegal to sell or transfer under Indian law.
- Harassment, threats, or abusive messages sent to another user through the platform.
- Attempting to circumvent the contact-unlock mechanism (e.g., embedding contact details in images, or coordinating off-platform to avoid it before a legitimate unlock).
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or automated bulk access to listings or user data.
8. QR codes and the asset they represent
Each QR code we ship is cryptographically tied to one specific listing. Moving a QR sticker to a different item, or continuing to display it after a sale, misrepresents the listing to anyone who scans it and is a violation of these terms. Once an item is sold, mark the listing sold from your dashboard.
9. Content you post
You retain ownership of the photos and descriptions you upload. By posting them, you grant Bechdoo a license to display them as part of operating the marketplace (showing your listing to buyers, including in search and browse results). Don't post content you don't have the right to use.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove a listing or account for violating these terms — including document fraud, prohibited items, or abuse of the credit/unlock systems — with or without prior notice depending on severity. You can stop using Bechdoo and request account deletion at any time.
11. Disputes between users
12. Limitation of liability
Bechdoo's document review process is a good-faith check, not a guarantee of a seller's title or an item's legal status. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bechdoo is not liable for losses arising from a transaction between users, including but not limited to a misrepresented item, a failed handover, or a dispute over payment made outside the platform.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts where Bechdoo is registered.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; meaningful changes will be reflected with an updated date above.
